The Dyscovery Centre was set up over 12 years ago in response to a lack of services for children and adults with developmental disorders. During this time it has developed into a specialist and high quality service providing clinical services, research, consultancy services and training at all levels from awareness raising to Masters degree level. The team is led by Professor Amanda Kirby.

The inter-disciplinary team helps individuals with living and learning difficulties, such as Developmental Co-ordination Disorder/Dyspraxia, Dyslexia, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and Asperger's Syndrome.

Some activities of the centre include:

Research - In the field of Developmental Co-ordination Disorder, nutrition and adult support.

Assessment- An interdisciplinary team of health and educational professionals provide assessments tailored to the needs of the individual. Every individual is different - we listen to the individual to take a holistic approach of needs at school, home, college and the workplace.

Training - We have trained over 10,000 professionals nationally and internationally over the past 10 years. We offer training to a wide range of clients including parents, teachers, school support staff, careers advisors and health professionals.
